People are also announcing their departure from Facebook, Instagram and Threads in the wake of their terms of service change that says Meta can take your website and feed it to their AI goblins. As I wrote in last week's news, if you didn't already know Meta will steal whatever they want from you, you have been asleep for a decade. Choose to be happy with the scraps the devil throws you or abandon big tech for greener open web pastures, but don't act outraged that the bad guys are doing bad things. THEY'RE BAD GUYS. I'm not saying don't fight back against them, but the handwringing about "where should we go? what should we do?" is an exhausted complaint. Learn the alternatives and move or stop pretending like you're actually gonna leave.
