Jessi Jean says she made $7.4M this summer selling the Yap Challenge. How? It didn't hurt that she kept telling everyone how much money she was making in short spans of time. By my estimation, over 24,000 people joined Jessi's challenge with high hopes and big dreams to ride her coattails to their own multi-million dollar results by "yapping" on the internet.
Sure, some people wanted to learn how to make winning Instagram reels. But I spotted a lot of people buying this who wanted to replicate Jessi's success. They saw the growing revenue claims, starting with first launch on June 3, which yielded $1.2M according to Jessi. A month later, she recorded $1M in sales in about an hour. All summer, she posted videos about how much money the Yap Challenge brought in. For anyone watching this and the related conversation around it online, many seemed to believe that they could get a similarly exciting result either from the challenge itself or from studying the launch.
And Jessi makes it look so easy. All you have to do is just...yap.
The allure of easy revenue is strong. Life is expensive. Business is hard. Once we find the hidden door to the easy chute, we'll land on a big 'ol pile of cash and never struggle again.
