I am raising funds to produce the first season of Money Trail, a podcast that examines the tools we depend on to find out who we can trust in our technocratic world.
Each episode will deep dive into tools we use (Squarespace, Substack, ThriveCart are first on my list) to dig into the flow of money and power responsible for the feature thrash we see on the surface. Is all venture backed-tech bad? What are the warning signs you should watch out for? Who can you turn to when you're sick of platform hopping? I'll invite the Legends to guest host with me as we unravel where the money came from, where it's going and how it's going to affect our businesses. The answer to "but where should I take my business" becomes a lot more clear when we follow the money and understand the players.
Money Trail is a narrative podcast in the style of Normal Gossip or If Books Could Kill. It requires a fair bit of research and writing to prep the episodes for production, hence running a crowdfunding campaign.
$4k raises enough for me to produce an 8 episode first season. My goal is to publish the first season by the end of 2026.
